Hiking at the skisport resorts

The mountains are calling …

Take a pair of hiking boots, a rucksack and your smartphone for some holiday snapshots. Stir everything well and sprinkle it with some stunning scenic views. Then season it with burbling streams, blooming meadows and bright sunshine. What’s cooking? That’s right: the most beautiful hiking tours in the mountains of the skisport.com resorts!

More than 600 kilometres of signposted hiking trails enchant hikers at the Pyhrn-Priel resort. In Hinterstoder or on the Wurzeralm – a paradise of blooming meadows and rustic huts awaits you. Or how about a little detour to the beautiful Mostviertel region? You could head up to the Ötscher via the Rauher Kamm, for instance. If you want to experience some amazing scenic views, the 360-degree Skytour on the Hochkar is definitely worth a visit!

On the Hochficht, you’ll encounter centuries-old trees, the Steinernes Meer mountain range or the Lipno Reservoir. There are lots of power places with their own special history in the Böhmerwald region.

During a pasture hike on the Kasberg, you’ll not only find plenty of trails suitable for baby’s pushchairs and enticing rustic huts but also the “1,000-metre hello rule”. You don’t know what that is? If you’re on a hike above 1,000 metres, you automatically greet all other hikers with a friendly “hello”. The general attitude is warm and welcoming high up in the Alps! At Kössen resort in Tyrol, you can look forward to a wild and romantic mountain scenery. The Kaisergebirge mountain range impresses with its diversity and attracts countless hiking enthusiasts every year.

An unforgettable hiking experience at the base of Austria’s tallest mountain is an absolute must for passionate hikers. Browse the hiking trail network on the Grossglockner

A long weekend is just around the corner or you’d just like to leave your everyday worries behind for a few days? Then go ahead and pack your sports outfit and off you go – right into adventure!

Day 1: There are two opposing teams in your family: Team Biker and Team Hiker? No problem! At the skisport resorts, you can do both. Either you split up into two groups or practice your hobbies one after the other. Challenging downhill trails, mountain routes, pasture trails suitable for baby’s pushchairs or e-bike routes – exploring the mountains is an amazing experience on foot as well as by bike.

Tip: Along the entire network of trials, there are rustic huts that serve hearty delicacies to hungry hikers and bikers! Enjoy …

Day 2: You spent all of yesterday in the saddle of your bike or hiking up a mountain? How about something different today?

You’ve always wanted to feel as free as a bird? Then paragliding is definitely an activity worth considering. As you float through the air, you can admire the breathtaking mountain world from a bird’s eye view.

Additionally, there are lots of via ferratas and climbing routes to explore at the eleven resorts. With a guide or on your own – that’ll be a thrill to remember!
