The training tracks

Get your skis ready and action!

Ready, steady and off you go through the blue and red gates! In the downhill position, you’ll be swiftly swooshing past the gates, causing the audience members to squeal with excitement. On the Kasberg, in Kössen, Hinterstoder or in the Mostviertel region, on the Hochkar or on the Ötscher: The FIS race tracks and training centres are perfect for pro skiers!

On the Kasberg, for instance, not only skiers get their money’s worth. Snowboarders can show off their skills on the FIS race track as well. In Hinterstoder, you’ll find the famous Hannes Trinkl World Cup track on which two World Cup races will be held in the 2019/2020 winter season again. The Landesnachwuschszentrum (Federal Youth Training Centre), many training slopes and professional support round off the offers of this perfect training location.

Hochkar and Lackenhof on the Ötscher are favoured by ÖSV stars like Thomas Sykora, Kathrin Zettel or snowboarder Benjamin Karl for their ideal training conditions. The Hochkar Race Full-Service Package offers perfect all-round services. In Lackenhof on the Ötscher, racing enthusiasts can look forward to a new FIS track for Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super G.

On the Upper Austrian Hochficht, races can be held on the FIS tracks both during the day and at night thanks to floodlight, which adds an extra thrill to the race spectacle. At Heiligenblut/Grossglockner ski resort, the Tauernberg offers optimum conditions for ski races – especially for groups, clubs or companies.

Have you ever heard of the Master Cracks of Hochkössen? The local scene regularly meets in Kössen for the ultimate showdown. On those days, Kössen ski resort becomes a hotspot for top racers. From the local and Bavarian racing squad to the ÖSV technique groups and from the Olympic snowboarding champions to international Paralympics teams: They all appreciate the perfect conditions for an amazing training day in Kössen.

Beyond Austria’s borders, you’ll find great training conditions from September to May as well. On Val Senales Glacier, the stars of the Italian FIS racing elite and the teams of the ÖSV find perfect snow conditions!
