Two routes with varying levels of difficulty

Several hours or several days? We recommend the following two biking trails. Get charmed by the beauty of Mühlviertel – along Mühltal biking route and Mühlviertel biking route.

Mühltal biking route

This diverse route starts in Klaffer at Hochficht and follows the low hills of the Bohemian Forest and the Mühlviertel. The tour takes about four hours and leads along asphalt and gravel roads –  you discover many regional attractions along the trail:

Mühlviertel biking route R5

Would you like to bike for several days? Mühlviertel biking route is the perfect option for you. Along the route you explore the mysterious granite rocks north of the Danube river and master challenging ascending slopes:

  • Duration: 19 h 25 m
  • Vertical metre: 756 m
  • Start: Mühlviertel biking route in Kramesau
  • End: Danube biking trail in Grein
  • Huts: numerous inns and accommodations along the route
  • Course: Kramesau – Neustift –  Convent Chorherrenstift Aigen-Schlägl – Wood Sculpture Park Schwarzenberg – Textiles Zentrum Haslach – Bad Leonfelden – Windhaag at Freistadt – Hinterglasmuseum Sandl –  Rosenhof Castle – Liebenau – Unterweißenbach – Königswiesen –  Greinburg Castle and Grein Town Theatre
