Walking time: approx. 2 hours.Difficulty level: mediumThe circular tour on the Unterberg is all about taking a deep breath, recharging your batteries and enjoying your free time in nature! The Gipfelhaus and the Bärenhütte invite you to stop for a tasty bite to eat, while the magnificent panoramic views will make you go into raptures.The route: The starting point of the circular tour is the mountain station of the cable car. From there, you walk along the valley hiking route to the "Rundweg" junction. A somewhat steeper section leads up to the summit house on the panoramic trail. You then reach the Bärenhütte and take the comfortable cable car back down to the valley.Hiking tip: circular tour into the valleyThe circular tour can also be done in the opposite direction. At 3.5 hours, the hike takes a little longer, but the tour can be classified as "easy". A forest path leads down to Kössen.

What is possiblefrom Unterberghorn Hochkössen?The Bergbahnen Hochkössen and the Para-Delta-Club Kaiserwinkl are organizing a cross-country flying competition this year!Prizes :1st place: Summer season ticket2nd place: Block of 103rd place: Block of 5Registration: - Fill in the registration form and hand it in at the lift ticket office.(Download or pick up at the lift ticket office)Regulations :- It is about the longest flight that was launched from the Unterberghorn between 01.04. and 10.09.2024 and shared in the World XContest.- "Longest flight" means the flight with the most points according to the World XContest points system.- Only registered pilots will be scored.- A maximum of 1 prize will be awarded per participant.- Each pilot flies at his own risk and responsibility and in compliance with the laws and regulations relevant to air sports.- Every pilot must be a participant in the "World XContest" and follow its rules. The trail is easy to manage in around 2.5 hours - even with a baby carriage.The route: Via the mountain station of the cable car, the tour leads along a comfortable forest path with a wonderful view of the valley. From here it goes down to the valley station of the cable car. The route is shorter if you take the path along the edge of the alpine meadows.Tour tip valley hike to Schwendt: After a short time on the valley hiking route, you reach the fork in the road towards Schwendt. A forest trail leads via a path to the Lucknerhof inn and on to Schwendt. The entire tour takes around three hours.

Walking time: approx. 1.5 hours.Difficulty level: easyThe idyllic mountain landscape and the incomparable view from the summit house are the highlights of the panoramic round tour on the Unterberg. At 1,700 meters above sea level, there is a breathtaking view from Lake Walchsee to Lake Chiemsee as well as the peaks of the Hohe Tauern and the Wilder Kaiser. Simply fantastic!The route: From the mountain station of the cable car in Kössen, an easy ascent leads towards Unterberghorn. The destination is just before the summit: the Gipfelhaus at 1,680 meters. After a hearty snack on the mountain pasture, the route leads along the summit lift route on a path to the Bärenhütte. Depending on your (hiking) mood, you can make your way back to the valley on foot or by cable car.
