Snowshoe trails on the Höss
Enjoy the moment in quiet seclusion and in the midst of a dreamlike landscape. Anyone who wants to do this is guaranteed to enjoy a visit to the snowshoe trails in the Hinterstoder ski area! Hardly any other winter sport promises such pure relaxation as snowshoeing. Regardless of whether you are out and about with an experienced guide or on your own. Breathe in the fresh mountain air step by step and enjoy the magnificent panorama - what more could you want?
Please note: The Höss gondola lift takes you comfortably to trail no. 1 at the middle station. Trail no. 2 can only be reached with the Höss-Express 6-seater chairlift, transportation with the Hösskogel double chairlift is NOT possible without skis or a board.

The alternative to skiing
Cross-country skiing in Hinterstoder
High altitude trail Hutterer Böden
In the middle of the Hinterstoder ski area, but not on the slopes? Yes, that's possible! Because the snow-sure Hutterer Böden high-altitude trail starts right at the middle station. The four-kilometre circular route leads along the Almboden to the Edtbauernalm and back again. Either on the two classic tracks or on the skating trail - and in any case always through gentle terrain. Magnificent views of Stoder's local mountain Höss included! The way to cross-country skiing bliss is via the 10-seater Hössbahn lift.
By the way: there is also a two-kilometre-long winter hiking trail at the middle station. Simply enquire with the team on site and discover the landscape on foot!
If that's not enough: 25 kilometers of classic style and six kilometers of skating await winter holidaymakers in Hinterstoder in Upper Austria. The cross-country ski trail leads directly from the village along the Steyr to the end of the valley at Baumschlagerreith. Cross-country skiing step by cross-country skiing step, you pass the Polsterlucke and Dietlgut - always surrounded by a fantastic snow-covered landscape.
