Discover the summit world by bike

Enjoy exploring the fantastic mountain world by bike, and that on the Großglockner? Of course you can! Because there are plenty of mountain bike trails waiting for you in the National Park region. Whether easy or extreme - the choice of route is entirely up to you. Tip from the Grossglockner team: the family-friendly Glockner cycle path (R8). This is a leisurely ride from the Jungfernsprung waterfall near Heiligenblut to the junction with the Drau cycle path at Möllbrücke. The destination is the end of the Mölltal valley. The total distance to be covered is 80 kilometers. You want more? Then get ready for the absolute supreme discipline - the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. What awaits you? An impressive 48 kilometers and countless meters of altitude! Side note: Be sure to start pedaling before 9:00 am. After that the traffic gets heavier and heavier!

Conquering the Grossglockner by motorcycle

Admittedly: Discovering the Großglockner by bike is quite strenuous. It's much more relaxed on a motorcycle. 36 smooth hairpin bends included. So what are you waiting for? Let the wind blow around your nose and enjoy the breathtaking panorama. You'll be amazed! Side note: blue information boards along the route show you the viewpoints and highlights of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.

Running and Nordic walking on the Grossglockner

Running is simply part of your vacation? Then the Grossglockner/Heiligenblut area is just the place for you! Whether on asphalt or through alpine terrain - it doesn't matter. Around Heiligenblut, there is an almost 40-kilometre-long network of paths with varied running trails at your disposal. You can assess your progress at the mountain running measuring station at the Schareck panorama restaurant. Ready for a competition?
