No Slope Touring in Hinterstoder

Höss Ski Resort has a great variety of ski and snowboard terrain – sometimes very steep and sometimes very narrow! Skiers and snowboarders enjoy the fun and the challenge, but there is also some risk. That’s why there is strictly no ski touring along the groomed ski slopes at Hinterstoder!

Attractive Alternatives for Ski Slope Tourers

You can still enjoy slope touring!

You can still enjoy slope touring! There are various attractive alternatives in the Pyhrn-Priel Holiday region: Wurzeralm, for instance, offers a permanently groomed ascent route. This neighbouring ski resort is regarded as very slope touring friendly. Slope tourers will also find perfect conditions in Vorderstoder, Rossleithen and some other places.

Caution at Night! No matter whether you are in Hinterstoder or on Wurzeralm Mountain: Caution is demanded since piste groomers with cable-winches start working to prepare the trails after the lifts have been closed. There is the immediate risk of death and injury and the ski resort does not assume any liability in case of an accident. To keep safe stay off the pistes after the last run.

How about x-Country Skiing? It is not quite the same but an alternative to skiing. You do not even have to leave Hinterstoder Höss ski resort, because Hutterer Böden high altitude x-country trail starts right at the mid-station.
