By Car to hinterstoder

Flexible through the south of Upper Austria

Visitors arriving from the south have to pay a toll for Bosrucktunnel additional to the Vignette; no additional fee when arriving from the north.

From Vienna: A1 motorway towards Salzburg,

From the west:  A8 motorway to Salzburg and then A1 motorway to Linz,

From Passau:  A8 to Wels North,

then onto A9 motorway at Voralpenkreuz motorway interchange, exit St. Pankraz. From here it is only a short way to your holiday destination.

 

by Bus and Train

Stress-free travel

Wherever you are arriving from, you always have to change train in Linz. It takes another hour to Hinterstoder station, which is 15km from the village centre. You then either take the 431 bus or a taxi.

Bus tip in Winter: free ski shuttle bus from Hinterstoder station to valley station. The bus also takes you to Wurzeralm ski resort.

Parking in Hinterstoder

Free and pay parking

Hinterstoder centre is a short-term parking zone limited to 90 minutes. There are three pay parking lots, perfect to start a summer hike:

  • Schiederweiher parking
  • Polsterlucke parking
  • Bärenalm parking

 

During the summer months there is a free bus running between the valley and the village centre. Valid parking ticket needed!

There are free parking lots close to the valley station. Important for winter athletes: 200m to the gondola.

 

 

Lademöglichkeiten für E-Autos

Mit dem Bau der neuen 10er Hössbahn wurden auch 12 topaktuelle Ladepunkte direkt am großen Parkplatz bei der Talstation errichtet. Diese verfügen über einen Typ 2-Stecker mit bis zu 11 kW Ladeleistung. Seitlich an jedem Ladepunkt findet ihr zudem eine Ladeanleitung.

Das Laden ist möglich mit:

  • der Energie AG Ladekarte zum Park & Charge Tarif (Details unter www.energieag.at/ladekarte)
  • diverse Ladekarten von österreichischen & internationalen Ladekartenanbietern (> 30 Anbieter)
  • mittels Bezahlung durch Kombination Smartphone + Kreditkarte

 

Eine weitere öffentliche Stromtankstelle für E-Autos befindet sich beim Tourismusverband Hinterstoder im Ortzentrum von Hinterstoder.
